Virginia Tech proudly welcomes Kevin Weil, Chief Science Officer at OpenAI, for a conversation on how artificial intelligence is accelerating scientific discovery. This event is part of our Leaders+ series.

In this 60-minute program, Weil will share recent breakthroughs in AI for science and demonstrate how frontier AI tools are accelerating real-world research workflows, including experimentation, analysis, and proof development. The discussion will highlight practical ways AI can be integrated into day-to-day scientific work and where the most significant advances have emerged in recent months.

Rishi Jaitly

Rishi Jaitly, founder of the Virginia Tech Institute for Leadership in Technology, will facilitate the conversation and help us explore AI as a service to science and its role in advancing discovery in alignment with Virginia Tech’s mission of Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). The program will conclude with an audience Q&A.
